Watch out for ticks
Children often play outside in the grass, forest, or park, which increases their risk of tick bites. Ticks can transmit diseases such as Lyme disease. The tick season runs from March through October, so it’s important to stay alert.
How to prevent a bite from a tick:
✔ Wear clothes that cover your body when you are outdoors
✔ Use bug spray
✔ Check you and your child for ticks when you are back indoors.
Got a tick bite? Remove the tick immediately with a special tick remover tool and make a note of the date. Regularly check the spot where the tick bite.
