How do you recognize toxic plants?
Spring is in full swing, and plants are blooming beautifully everywhere. Just look at those lovely purple and white foxglove spires. But they’re quite toxic. Very tricky for curious little hands and mouths. No need to panic, but a bit of awareness goes a long way.
A few common toxic plants:
Dieffenbachia, yew hedge, ivy, oleander, daffodils, golden chain and wisteria, giant hogweed, and foxglove.
It’s nearly impossible to have no toxic plants at all in and around the house. It’s recommended to teach children from a young age not to touch the plants or put the berries in their mouths.
